Blitz

The german word "Blitz" is a strong flash during a thunderstorm. It's not used in contexts of battle or war. The verb "blitzen" means to be flashed with a camera (by the cops), the connections with "blitz" describe a thing as "very intensive..."
so "blitzsauber" = very clean
"Blitzkrieg" = very intensive act of war
"blitzschnell" = very fast
